Trainee Lawyers

Help us shape the Future of the Industry

When you join us for your legal traineeship ('avocat/e stagiaire' in Geneva or 'Substitutin/Substitut' in Zurich), you benefit from our collaborative culture, inspiring colleagues and training. You will gain quality experience across a broad range of legal practices and with national and international clients as you prepare for the bar exam.

Following the required 14-18-month term, you have the option to work for a few months in our other Swiss office (Zurich or Geneva).

Traineeship in Zurich or Geneva

You will work across various practice groups throughout your 14-month traineeship in Zurich (‘Substitutenjahr’) or 18-month
traineeship in Geneva (‘stage d’avocat’). You will work with different teams of lawyers, gaining valuable first-hand experience dealing with a variety of legal issues commonly handled by an international business law firm. Alongside ‘on the job’ training, we offer numerous further education opportunities and support, including continuous in-house educational programmes (organised by the various practice groups) and special coaching sessions designed to help you prepare for the bar exam.
